Graduate Research Assistant in Ecological Oceanography
CIC Ltd and Oregon State University’s Ecological Oceanography Lab are offering a funded Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) position for a Master of Science in Marine Resource Management (MRM). This is a two-year role (0.49 FTE) which commences on 16 September 2025 and will focus on collecting and analysing abyssal baited camera and trap data in the Cook Islands to assess deep-sea biodiversity.
The GRA will be mentored by Assistant Professor Astrid Leitner. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in a relevant field or have equivalent experience, with preferred skills in marine fieldwork, data analysis (R/Python), scientific writing, and deep-sea sampling.
